Eagle Rare 17 Year old Bourbon is a Seventeen year old bourbon which was crafted by Master Distiller Charles L. Beam in 1975, and is still produced at the award winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. This bourbon was crafted from Mash Bill #1, like other great blends such as E. H. Taylor, Buffalo Trace, and George T. Stagg. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barely, which has a lower content of rye, then mash bill #2. This bourbon is smooth and rich with aromas of tobacco, and chocolate covered cherries on the nose. On the palate you’ll notice a touch of oak, mingled with slight hints of caramel, layered with vanilla bean, and dark chocolate. Stagg, and is produced at the award winning Buffalo Trace Distillery. It is produced from Mash Bill #1, like other great blends such as Eagle Rare, E.H. Taylor, and Elmer T. Lee. It is a sour mash of corn, rye, and malted barley, which has a lower content of rye, then mash bill #2. This bourbon is rich and complex with bright notes of notes of caramelized roasted pecans, blended with chocolate, and baking spice. The palate has notes of vanilla, and cherry, with a robust finish of black coffee, and oak.
